A little blue...

We all feel blue from time to time, where life just seems to overwhelm us and we can't quite see the silver lining. When our blue days turn into weeks, months, & years we need to take a step back and assess our mental health. Depression is very common in our society today but the good news is that there are plenty of ways to help you. Stigma is one reason people don't like to reach out for help. We may feel that others will judge us or not treat us the same. Some people don't want a therapist knowing their business because it's an invasion of privacy. While others see reaching out as embarrassing because they first have to admit to themselves that something isn't okay. Self-awareness is not an easy practice and is avoided because, well, if you don't know then it doesn't exist. The whole "out of sight, out of mind" concept comes into play here.

So my task for you is to be BRAVE!

Step out and seek the help you need.
